Dear Idol

Dear you,
Me again, obviously its a letter! Its weird- writing these to you makes me feel better. See what I did there?

I have had the joy of listening to your music for years, since the X-Factor in 2012 to be exact. This is when I discovered you; when you showcased your talent in front of Britain. Well done, for getting out of  bed that morning and dragging yourself to auditions- it is scary to think what my life would be like if I hadn't witnessed that small, singer/song writer from Buxton, in Derbyshire, singing her own song about her wild nights under the influence of alcohol.

Thank you for your songs, the words you write from your heart that make me feel so close to you. Lighthouse, it is my favourite. I feel like the lighthouse in this song is you- you being the lighthouse in my storm. You or your music always cheer me up, no matter how I am feeling and that is something that I cannot thank you for enough.

Thank you for releasing Dear You, and raising awareness for mental health. I dont know if you know but I would love to see a change in the way that people view and treat people with a mental illness- which is why I started this blog in the first place.

Thank you for sharing your own story with mental illness. You probably have no idea but you've helped so many people realise that they're not alone and that they are worthy of help. I am sorry you had to go through that but something positive has come out of it in the end- you helped people, like you wanted to do when you wanted to become a firefighter!

Thank you for the many direct messages you've sent to me on twitter, every single message you send means the absolute world- I know you're a busy woman but the fact that you can take 2 minutes out of your day to message a fan just shows how down to earth and grounded you are.

Thank you for always being so lovely to me, whether this is in person or via the internet. I have never known a celebrity so dedicated to making their fans happy and feel loved as you do- you have no idea how much, you just knowing that we exist means to us. Every favourite, retweet, direct message and tweet makes us feel so special and its amazing how you can make us feel. With regards to meeting in person, I have never met someone so lovely, it is always a pleasure to meet you.

Thank you for the many names you have called me that made me smile, no matter how mean they sound! A funny one, Ebola, Creeper, Creepy tall gal and a little ray of sunshine. All reflect our friendship really well- show that you're up for a laugh and are a genuinely lovely person.

Thank you Lucy Spraggan for the memories and the love, you'll always be my reason, my life and my friend.

love Eb(ola) x
P.s. just know that you are SO worthy of happiness and your health is so important- if you need time for your health/mental health, please take some time to help yourself. You're so talented and beautiful- stay happy.
